Customer Review: Good Buy for the Money
I bought this kit for my Canon Powershot sx10 is, basically for the camera case. I didn’t want a case that was too big nor did I want one that would just barely hold my camera alone (as I had read of the Canon camera case). I also gravitated towards this Precision brand because I didn’t really like the idea of carrying around a Canon camera case. To me, that’s free advertising to a thief. The bag is exactly the size I wanted. I can fit my camera horizontally or vertically and I can store extra batteries and a charger easily. The tripod is an excellent addition for any ametuer who wants to improve their photo quality. It’s definitely far from the types of tripods for professionals, but it’s great for a “first-time user”. The mini-tripod is most definitely mini. I had thought that it would be maybe six to eight inches - it’s about three. I probably won’t use it very often, except when I either need to take a shot close to the ground or I can set it on something like a table. The rest of the things in the kit feel kind of like someone just tossed some stuff in the box. The 2GB memory card is usable and a pleasant addition, as is the cleaning cloth and cleaning kit (which includes another cleaning cloth). There’s also a short USB cord that is fine, but nothing exciting. Finally, included is a CD for image recovery and screen protectors that you put on your camera’s LCD screen. These are two things I’ll most likely never use, but I think the rest of the things in the kit (mostly the large tripod and camera case) make this a good purchase for nearly $27. My recommendation for this kit is determined by how many of the things included are of value to you. If you want a camera case that will fit more than just your camera, but isn’t too large or you want a decent, cheap tripod, it’s definitely worth it. If you don’t care about either of these things the kit would probably be a waste of money.
Customer Review: photo bag deception
i purchased this accessory kit in hopes of receiving the camera bag as depicted in the photo shown as being what was in the kit. it turns out the “camera bag” was a belt pouch smaller than a pack of cigarettes. and the mini tri-pod is about 5″ inches tall. i called the distributor of this offer (not amazon) about this and was sent another belt bag that is still useless. i would not recommend this kit. photo is totally deceptive.
Nothing kick starts a poker players heart faster than turning up the corners of a pair of bullets! What a welcome sight after folding an endless parade of junk hands. Now that the Aces have made their rare appearance (once every 220 hands!), what’s the best way to play them? Take down the pot immediately and deprive the table of seeing a flop, or slow play and watch the reactions when you turn up the aces? What is the best way to go heads up with one opponent and double-up? There are approximately five ways to play pocket aces: All-in, Big pre-flop raise, Small pre-flop raise, Call or Fold.
Nothing screams “I HAVE ACES” louder and faster than pushing all your chips into the pot early in a tournament. This move isolates you in the pot by yourself… Everyone will fold and you’ll win the blinds - which isn’t a BAD result, but it really doesn’t exploit the power of the hand. There are of course, situations where going all-in with pocket aces is a great decision and will get you heads-up with one opponent and likely double your stack. When you’re short-stacked and the table believes you’ll push all in with any two cards is a great example. Another example is when you’re in late position, the blinds are fairly large, most players have limped in and you’re on the button with a big stack. Chase out those limpers - either take down the pot of blinds, or go into the flop facing one or two other players.
A safer way to steal the blinds or isolate one or two players without putting your entire stack at risk is putting out a big raise - five or more times the big blind. When the flop looks like it caught a little piece of your opponent’s hand, it’s time to push some chips! When your opponent bets first with a safe looking flop, it may be time to re-raise them all-in! When your opponent checks to you, sweeten the pot by putting in a small bet and make it look like you’re bluffing at the pot. There will be two more opportunities to build the put up further! Either way, find the balance between keeping your pushing chips into the pot and preventing them from drawing a better hand than your aces. When the flop looks dangerous and your opponent bets like they just hit the nuts, as much as it hurts, fold those aces.
In late position with no one in the pot, a small bet may be more appropriate. Also if the table will fold around with a large bet, keeping your opening bet around two to four times the big blind may be more profitable. Take someone along on the flop and hope they catch a small pair so you can get a larger chunk of their chips! Just a small bet to build the pot and test the waters to see if anyone has some cards. Keep a sharp eye on your opponent after the flop. Bet large enough to find out if your opponent hit a higher hand than your aces, but low enough so they will stay in with the pair they just made on the flop. It can be a tricky line, but lots of fun!
The slow-play - just calling with pocket aces can be a fun way to surprise the heck out of an opponent! When you’re playing at a loose table, sometimes a great plan is to ride along instead of leading the action. If the player in third position raises to three times the blind EVERY hand, just sit back and let mr chip-pusher build a huge pot and chase out all the other opponents. When it’s time to scoop up the pot - tell Mr. Raise to back off! This works great as long as the loose players are in there with garbage cards, and the community cards come up scattered in number & suit. It can be a really bad plan if the flop comes up all the same suit, or all connected (or even worse, all the same suit AND connected!!!). Just be ready to fold if a higher hand is threatening.
Folding pocket aces… unless you are in one of those extremely rare situations where you stand to profit immensely from folding pocket aces - this is a complete donkey move. Just don’t do it! (If you’re in one of the final tables of a televised tournament, on the bubble, with three players ahead of you all-in, AND stand to win $1,000,000+, by getting out of the way - FOLD!)
Just wait until those aces make their next welcome debut! Monster pots are coming!!!
